As an Accounting Associate for CAS, Denise assists the Director, Financial Reporting & Analysis  with accounts payable. Additionally, she assists the department with client billing. Prior to the April 2024 acquisition of the CAS division, the firm was defined as Wilbanks Smith & Thomas Asset Management, LLC (“WST”), an SEC registered investment adviser headquartered in Norfolk, VA. Prior to joining the firm in spring 2019, she enjoyed an expanding career in non-profit administration and performing arts production.

Originally from Virginia Beach, Denise earned her bachelor’s degree from University of Richmond and worked in Louisville, Buffalo, Chicago, and Harrisonburg before returning to the area in 2013. She is active in the community as treasurer of Spotlight News, and she volunteers with the Downtown Norfolk Council.
