Kyle is Sr. Managing Director for CAS—managing client relationships and leading CAS’ North Carolina-based efforts out of Raleigh. He serves on the firm’s Investment Committee. Prior to the April 2024 acquisition of the CAS division, the firm was defined as Wilbanks Smith & Thomas Asset Management, LLC (“WST”), an SEC registered investment adviser headquartered in Norfolk, VA. Kyle joined WST as Principal and Portfolio manager in 2001, bringing to bear over three decades of industry experience.

Kyle, a native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, earned a BBA in Trust Management from Campbell University. He is a graduate of the Southeastern Trust School and the College for Financial Planning and holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation as well as the Series 66 securities license.

Kyle is an active member of several organizations, including the Wake County Estate Planning Council, the Salvation Army of Wake County Advisory Board, and the Red Shield Club Committee of Raleigh. He also holds positions on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee for the North Carolina Coastal Federation, where he serves as Chair of the Investment Committee. Additionally, Kyle is on the Board of Directors and serves as Vice Chair for Band Together. In his free time, Kyle enjoys hunting, playing music, and spending time at the beach with his family. He and his wife have two daughters.
