Larry is Sr. Managing Director for CAS. He previously served as WST’s Director of Research. Prior to the April 2024 acquisition of the CAS division, the firm was defined as Wilbanks Smith & Thomas Asset Management, LLC (“WST”), an SEC registered investment adviser headquartered in Norfolk, VA. He joined WST in 1995.

Larry graduated from the University of Virginia with a bachelor’s in English Literature, undertaking study at Cambridge University in England while pursuing that degree. He received an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Larry is active as a Board member for the Norfolk Innovation Corridor and the Employees Retirement System of the City of Norfolk, where he chairs the System’s Investment Committee. He also serves as a Trustee and Investment Committee Chair at Norfolk Academy, and as the Board Chair of the Children’s Health Foundation, which supports the Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters.
