Brad Knapp is Chief Executive Officer and President at Clearstead, where he supports the firm’s strategic leadership, client experience, and growth initiatives. Brad guides the firm’s expansion across financial planning, investment management, estate planning, tax, trust, and family office services. He has been working in the financial services industry since 1998, joined Clearstead in 2016, and has been a shareholder since 2017.

Brad brings expertise in strategic leadership, client advisory, and business development. Before joining Clearstead, he worked at Hawthorn/PNC, KeyCorp, and McDonald & Company Investments in various technical and leadership roles. Throughout Brad’s career, he has led initiatives to deliver positive client outcomes and build long-term financial strategies.

Brad obtained his BSBA from John Carroll University and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations. Brad currently serves on the Boards of Clearstead, Clearstead Trust, Avalon Trust, McGregor (Chairman), and John Carroll University, and is a trustee of a private family foundation in Cleveland, OH. He also serves on advisory boards for Riverside and Trimer Capital private equity funds.
