Brad Knapp is Chief Executive Officer and President at Clearstead, where he supports the firm’s strategic leadership, client experience, and growth initiatives. He guides the firm’s expansion across financial planning, investment management, estate planning, tax, trust, and family office services. He has worked in the financial services industry since 1998, joined Clearstead in 2016, and has been a shareholder since 2017.

Brad brings deep expertise in strategic leadership, client advisory, and business development. Before joining Clearstead, he held technical and leadership roles at Hawthorn/PNC, KeyCorp, and McDonald & Company Investments. Throughout his career, he has led initiatives focused on delivering strong client outcomes and building long-term financial strategies.

Brad obtained his BSBA from John Carroll University and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations. Brad serves on the Boards of Clearstead, Clearstead Trust, Avalon Trust, the McGregor Foundation (Chairman), and John Carroll University, and is a trustee of a private family foundation in Cleveland, OH. He also serves on advisory boards for Riverside and Trimer Capital private equity funds.
