Carolyn Raden, CPA

Carolyn Raden is the Chief Financial Officer at Clearstead, where she leads the firm’s financial strategy and oversees accounting, FP&A, treasury, budgeting, and capital planning to ensure operational excellence and long-term growth. She has been working in the financial services industry since 2008 and joined Clearstead in 2025.

Carolyn brings expertise in finance, accounting and operational leadership roles within the wealth management and financial services industry. Before joining Clearstead, she served as CFO at Kovitz, a Focus Financial Partners firm, where she oversaw financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, strategic planning, and M&A integration. Earlier in her career, Carolyn worked in Deloitte’s Audit practice in Chicago, supporting public and private clients across a range of industries. Throughout her career, Carolyn has led strategic growth initiatives and built scalable finance functions that strengthen organizational performance.

Carolyn obtained both a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. She holds the CPA designation. Carolyn has been active in professional community organizations, helped establish and lead the charitable foundation arm at her last firm, and is a member of Chief, The CFO Leadership Council, the American Institute of CPAs, and the Illinois CPA Society.
