Gregory P. Althans, CPA/PFS, CFP®

Greg Althans is Co-Head of the Private Client Group at Clearstead and serves as a board member, where he supports the delivery of tailored wealth management strategies for individuals and families. He has been working in the financial services industry since 1984, joined Clearstead in 2010, and has been a shareholder since 2010.

Greg brings expertise in wealth management counseling, estate and income tax planning, and asset allocation strategy. Before joining Clearstead, he worked at Price Waterhouse as Director of Personal Financial Services and at Fairport Asset Management as Chief Investment Officer. Throughout Greg’s career, he has led initiatives focused on integrating financial planning and investment strategy across client portfolios.

Greg obtained his BBA in Accounting from The College of William & Mary and holds CPA, CPA/PFS and CFP® designations. Greg currently serves as Chair of the Trinity Cathedral Investment Committee, on the Accounting Board of The College of William & Mary Mason School of Business and is a member of the planned giving committee at University School. He is a member of the Alpha Group, an association of leaders from pier firms around the country. He previously served on the Boards of the Center for Families and Children, Urban Squash Cleveland, Friends of Breakthrough Schools, and LifeAct.​
