David Hyun, CFA

David Hyun is Managing Director, Senior Investment Analyst & PM at Clearstead Avalon Trust, where he conducts investment research focused on the technology sector. He has been working in the investment management industry since 1993 and joined Clearstead in 2024.

David brings expertise in equity research, portfolio management, and sector analysis. Before joining Clearstead, he began his career at Fred Alger Management and gained additional experience at OppenheimerFunds, Allianz Global Investors, Inverness Counsel, and Picton Mahoney Asset Management. Throughout David’s career, he has contributed to investment strategy and research across a range of asset management firms.

David obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Dartmouth College and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
