Debra Richards is a Managing Director, Tax in the Private Client Group at Clearstead, where she supports high-net-worth clients by providing analytical support, consultation, and advice in all aspects of tax, financial, and investment planning services. She has been working in the tax and financial planning industry since joining Clearstead in 2021.

Debra brings expertise in tax strategy, financial planning, and small business advisement. Before joining Clearstead, she owned an accounting firm servicing small businesses and business owners in the Chicago area. Throughout Debra’s career, she has led client-focused planning initiatives and supported complex tax needs.

Debra obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana, and her Master of Accountancy from Kaplan University, and holds the Enrolled Agent (EA) designation. Debra is a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents and the Ohio Society of Enrolled Agents.
