John Hartman

John Hartman is a Managing Director at Clearstead Advisory Solutions, where he supports investment analysis, marketing, client service, and portfolio management. He has been working in the investment industry since 2005 and joined Clearstead in 2024.

John brings expertise in asset management, tax and financial planning, M&A activity, capital raising, and corporate finance. Before joining Clearstead he worked as a Vice President in J.P. Morgan’s Leveraged Finance Group, and also advised clients while working with regional boutique financial and accounting firms, having started his career with KPMG. Throughout John’s career, he has led efforts to deliver strategic financial guidance to both personal and corporate clients.

John obtained his B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce and an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia Darden Graduate School of Business, and holds the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. John currently serves on the VBR Star Soccer Club board and is actively involved in coaching youth sports and volunteering as a WyldLife leader.
