Mike McLelland, CFA, CAIA

Mike McLelland is a Managing Director, Investments at Clearstead, where he supports the sourcing, evaluation, and monitoring of alternative strategies, including hedge funds, real assets, private equity, and private credit. He has been working in the investment management industry since 2016, joined Clearstead in 2021, and has been a shareholder since 2024.

Mike brings expertise in manager due diligence, fund analysis, and alternative investment strategy. Before joining Clearstead, he worked as an investment advisor with PNC Institutional Asset Management. Throughout Mike’s career, he has led investment recommendation processes and strategic advisory initiatives.

Mike obtained his B.S.B.A. degree in Finance from The Ohio State University, and holds both the CFA Charterholder and CAIA designations. Mike is an active member of the CFA Society of Cleveland.
