Theresa Garber

Theresa Garber is a Managing Director at Clearstead, where she leads operations and integration efforts across the firm. She has been working in the financial services industry since 2008 and joined Clearstead in 2024.

Theresa brings expertise in operations, finance, human resources, compliance, and organizational leadership. Before joining Clearstead, she served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer at Wilbanks Smith & Thomas Asset Management, LLC (“WST”) until it was acquired by Clearstead, and prior to that, she served for seven years as Director of Operations at a local company. Throughout Theresa’s career, she has overseen firm-wide initiatives and earned recognition including a “Top 40 Under 40” award in 2011, a place in the LEAD Hampton Roads Class of 2011, and a “Women in Business” award in 2012. She is proud of the firm’s receipt of the Volunteer Excellence Award and its consistent placement on the annual “Best Places to Work” list.

Theresa obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee and continued her education at Old Dominion University.
