Daniel Meges

Dan Meges is the Chief Economist & Head of Public Equity, Senior Managing Director at Clearstead, where he supports the firm’s macroeconomic viewpoint and leads public equity research. He has been working in the economic research and investment industry since 2003, joined Clearstead in 2018, and has been a shareholder since 2021.

Dan brings expertise in macroeconomic analysis, public equity strategy, manager due diligence, and capital market research. Before joining Clearstead, he served as Senior Director with Freedonia Custom Research, partnering with global clients on market research initiatives. He also spent over a decade as an economist with the U.S. State Department, specializing in economic development, international assistance, global labor markets, and trade policy. Throughout Daniel’s career, he has led research initiatives, investment strategy development, and global equity evaluations.

Dan obtained his B.S. in Industrial & Labor Relations from Cornell University, his M.A. in International Relations from the University of Chicago, and his MBA from Loyola University.
