Matthew J. Kolenich, CPFA, AIF®

Matthew J. Kolenich is a Senior Managing Director at Clearstead, where he provides investment advisory services to fiduciaries and investment committees for institutional clients. His areas of focus include fiduciary governance, plan design, investment due diligence and provider oversight to deliver sustainable retirement outcomes for plan participants. He has been working in the retirement and investment advisory industry since 1995, joined Clearstead in 2022, and is a Clearstead shareholder.

Matthew brings expertise in fiduciary governance, retirement plan design, institutional investment consulting and participant-level education. Before joining Clearstead, he spent over 20 years as a dedicated fiduciary advisor to both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, helping build and manage retirement plans for the benefit of their employees. Throughout Matthew’s career, he has led retirement plan initiatives and fiduciary advisory programs.

Matthew obtained his BSBA with a specialization in Finance from Bowling Green State University and holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF^®) and Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) designations.
