Matthew Talbot, CAIA, CFP®

Matt Talbot is an Executive Managing Director at Clearstead, where he supports client advisory services and serves as the Sales & Marketing Lead for the PNW Team. He has been working in the financial services industry since 1993 and joined Clearstead in 2026.

Matt brings expertise in client advisory, investment strategy, and team leadership. Before joining Clearstead he served as Co‑Founder, Partner, Co‑CIO, and Senior Client Advisor at The Clarius Group, and previously held roles as Partner and CIO at Bristlecone Advisors, Senior Hedge Fund Analyst at Windermere Investment Associates, Fixed Income Portfolio Manager & Trader at The Laughlin Group, and Investment Banking Analyst at Black & Co. Throughout Matt’s career, he has led advisory teams and investment initiatives across multiple organizations.

Matt obtained his MBA in Finance from the University of Washington, his BS in Finance from Oregon State University, and holds the CAIA and CFP® designations. Matt is also an active volunteer with the Ballard Food Bank.
