Nicholas Carter, JD, CTFA

Nic joined Clearstead Trust in 2024 and brings with him more than 10 years of experience in Fiduciary Services and Trust Administration. As the Chief Fiduciary Officer (CFidO) of Clearstead Trust, Nic plays a pivotal role in ensuring that we meet the unique financial and estate planning needs of our clients. Nic provides strategic leadership to our fiduciary team, oversees compliance, and works closely with clients and their advisors to develop, implement, and administer trust and estate plans.

Prior to joining Clearstead Trust, Nic served as Senior Fiduciary Officer at a regional bank, helping clients throughout Northern New England and across North America. Prior to that, he spent time practicing law with a boutique Estate Planning law firm. Nic is an alumnus of the University of Southern Maine and the University of Maine School of Law.

Outside of the office, Nic can usually be seen embarrassing his four children with his amazing sense of humor and reminiscing about how cool he used to be.
