Nicolas Carter, JD, CTFA

Nicolas Carter is the Chief Fiduciary Officer at Clearstead Trust, where he supports the fiduciary team through strategic leadership, compliance oversight, and direct collaboration with clients and their advisors to develop and administer trust and estate plans. He has been working in the fiduciary services and trust administration industry since 2014 and joined Clearstead in 2024.

Nicolas brings expertise in fiduciary services, trust administration, estate planning, and regulatory compliance. Before joining Clearstead, he served as Senior Fiduciary Officer at a regional bank, supporting clients across Northern New England and North America. Prior to that, he practiced law at a boutique estate planning firm.

Nicolas obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern Maine and his JD from the University of Maine School of Law. He holds the Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) designation.
