Sharon Whitacre, CFP®, CIMA®

Sharon Whitacre is a Managing Director at Clearstead, where she supports both institutional and private wealth clients. She has been working in the financial services industry since 1996, joined Clearstead in 2023, and has been a shareholder since 2025.

Sharon brings expertise in institutional consulting, private wealth management, commercial banking, private banking, and trust services. Before joining Clearstead, she worked as a Financial Consultant and Senior Institutional Consultant at Legacy Strategic Asset Management of Wells Fargo Advisors. She was previously part of a consulting team at Morgan Stanley and held roles at Bank One, Columbus, NA, and Bank One, Colorado Springs, NA. Throughout Sharon’s career, she has led client-focused initiatives and advisory teams across multiple financial disciplines.

Sharon obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Marquette University and her MBA from the University of Dayton. She holds the Certified Financial Planner™ designation, earned in 1996, and the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designation, earned in 2009. Sharon currently serves as the Board Chair for Hudson Community Foundation and is actively involved in the Investment & Wealth Institute (IWI) and the Financial Planners Association (FPA).
