Alex Shannon

Alexander Shannon is a Managing Director, Business Development at Clearstead, where he supports business development opportunities with both institutional and private wealth clients. He has been working in the financial services industry since 2018, joined Clearstead in 2023, and has been a shareholder since 2025.

Alexander brings expertise in business development, client engagement, and philanthropic strategy. Before joining Clearstead, he worked as a Financial Consultant for Legacy Strategic Asset Management of Wells Fargo Advisors and served as a development officer at Akron Children’s Hospital. Throughout Alexander’s career, he has led initiatives focused on strategic growth, community engagement, and donor development.

Alexander obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Akron, his Master of Business Administration from Malone University, and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Business Psychology from Franklin University. Alexander currently serves as Board President for the Stark State College Foundation Board of Directors, Chairman of the Finance Council for the Newman Center at Kent State University, Executive Board Member of the Phi Delta Theta Ohio Epsilon Scholarship Committee, Trustee for the Frank J.R. Mitchell Scroll Endowment Fund, and is a member of Akron Community Foundation’s Emerging Philanthropists class and Leadership Akron Class 36. He was recognized by the University of Akron Alumni Association in 2019 in their inaugural ‘5Under35’ and by Phi Delta Theta in 2022 in their inaugural ‘30 Under 30’.
