John F. Colla, CFA

John Colla is a Senior Managing Director in the Institutional Client Group at Clearstead, where he supports providing strategic investment and financial advice to the firm’s clients, focusing primarily on Clearstead’s healthcare clients, not-for-profits, and endowments and foundations. He has been working in the financial services industry since 2014 and joined Clearstead in 2017. 

John brings expertise in financial modeling, development of holistic investment programs revolved around organizational strategy, manager searches and due diligence, investment research, portfolio management, and consulting. Before joining Clearstead he worked as a Portfolio Manager at PNC Bank working with both institutions and high net worth individuals. Throughout John’s career at Clearstead, he has led as a voting member of the Clearstead Investment Committee, served as a member of the firm’s Retirement Committee, and been actively involved in many internal initiatives.

John obtained his BA from Hiram College, gained his master’s degree in Finance/Economics from Youngstown State University, and holds the CFA designation and a Certificate of Capital Markets from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. John currently serves on the Board of the Salvation Army, Cleveland chapter, and is actively involved in healthcare initiatives around Cleveland and is actively involved in healthcare initiatives around Cleveland.
